The long-established company from Unkel receives the German food industry’s highest award for outstanding product quality

Unkel/Cologne, November 2019. The Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) annually awards the Federal Honour Award to companies with special product quality. This is the highest distinction German food producers can be awarded.

A total of eight German fruit beverage manufactures were awarded the Federal Honour Award this year. Among the prize-winners in this important quality competition was Haus Rabenhorst O. Lauffs, a traditional family-run business from Unkel on the Rhine, achieved the best test results in the international quality test conducted by the DLG (German Agricultural Society). Haus Rabenhorst is delighted to have been awarded the Federal Honour Award for the ninth time in total for its special product quality.

During a festive award ceremony in Nuremberg, Haus Rabenhorst received the outstanding quality award from Ministerial Director Dr. Katharina Böttcher and DLG Vice President Dr. Diedrich Harms. The DLG Vice President praised the company’s overall operational performance as an expression of its high level of expertise: “The Federal Honour Award winners are pioneers who know how to combine a culture of enjoyment and a consistent quest for quality in an exemplary manner. They are among the best German companies in the fruit beverage industry,” emphasised Dr. Harms.

Winning the Federal Honour Award for the nineth time since 2009 once again underlines the quality competence of the juice experts. With other 120 years of the knowledge and experience in the production of delicious and beneficial juices, Haus Rabenhorst continues to rank among the quality leaders in the German food industry.
